About Me
My name is Shanai actually known as Nai, a photographer based in NYC. Eyes of Nai Photography is my passion project
For years, I struggled to figure out what I was truly passionate about. I tried so many different things but never stuck with any of them. In the summer of 2018, I took a photography class at Fordham University just to earn credits for graduation. Little did I know that class would open my eyes to the fact that photography was my calling.
I’ve always loved being in front of the camera, but what I didn’t realize at the time was how much I also loved being behind it. Now, photography is not just a job; it’s a way for me to connect with people, especially women.
Us women are the most beautiful subjects to photograph. "We are a work of art," and capturing us in all our different states is something special.
My goal is simple: I want to help other women feel better about themselves. Loving yourself is so important, and I believe that photos can help you see yourself in a way that makes you fall even more in love with who you are.
Eyes of Nai’s Experience
I’ve had the privilege of capturing many special events through Eyes of Nai Photography, including NYFW. It’s always an honor to preserve these memorable moments. I absolutely love using my Canon cameras—they’re easy to use, and the photo quality is incredibly crisp.
I’m also a published photographer, and my work has been featured in Shout Out Atlanta, Fashion GXD Magazine, Valid Magazine, the Hot 97 Blog, as well as on various social media platforms. My photography has even been reposted by artists and public figures. From clients in the entertainment industry to those in the local community, I’m proud to serve everyone. Each one is truly special to me.
